Established in 1996, the Mehta Family Foundation (MFF) is dedicated to developing Indian intellectual talent in emerging technological and scientific fields through global academic collaboration. MFF's work is driven by the belief that investing in science, technology, and higher education leads to greater economic prosperity. After achieving professional success, co-founder and CEO Rahul Mehta and his siblings chose to create the Foundation in honor of their parents.
The Mehta Family
Over the years, MFF has funded more than a hundred nonprofits. The Foundation's flagship effort is a collaboration with Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) to provide the resources to create new schools that produce graduates with a high quality education, in-demand skills, and a competitive edge as they enter careers in fields such as bioengineering, health technology, data science, artificial intelligence, battery technology, and sustainability. MFF supports the creation of these schools by providing resources for infrastructure, faculty, exchange programs and more. In addition to the creation of these schools, MFF has established partnerships with leading US universities, such as the Mehta Rice Engineering Scholars Program, to provide Indian Ph.D. students with research opportunities, access to state-of-the-art resources, and mentorship from world renowned scholars. MFF also sponsors conferences that bring together researchers from India and around the world to address complex, India-specific challenges and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
